Fleabag writer and star Phoebe Waller-Bridge has just revealed that she is working on a feature film.
Since her multiple Emmy wins earlier this year, Waller-Bridge has been asked time and time again whether we can expect more episodes of the critically acclaimed Fleabag in the future. We were treated with just twelve episodes, but Waller-Bridge has repeatedly shut down hopes that another season is on the cards.
Fortunately, the brilliant writer is not shutting down her talents for good. In fact, she recently told US Vogue that she is currently at work on an exciting new project.
Typically, Waller-Bridge revealed nothing about the plot of the movie. What she did confirm, however, was that she would be working on it with her sister, Isobel Waller-Bridge, who worked on the Fleabag soundtrack.
“I’ve always loved the idea of starting with a sound and working backward,” she explained. “A lot of times, I’ll write something and go to her and say, ‘Can you score it?’ and with this one, she and I have been talking about the score before I’ve even finished the movie.”
She added: “It’s such an exciting story and it’s just been a thrill to work on.”
