Charlize Theron is returning to life in the fast lane.
The Long Shot actress is set to reprise her role in the next chapter of The Fast and the Furious.
Theron joined the franchise for its eighth installment, Fate of the Furious, as a cyber-terrorist named Cipher.
Also joining Fast and Furious 9 will be Dame Helen Mirren, who we first saw as the mother of Jason Statham’s character in 2017.
Series stalwart Vin Diesel confirmed the casting announcements on Instagram in a video taken on set during the third week of filming.
Theron and Mirren are not the only familiar faces set to return.
Last month, Diesel revealed that his character’s sister would be included, meaning a return for Jordana Brewster. She was accompanied by a young boy who is believed to be the son of her character and that of the the late Paul Walker.
Fast and Furious 9 races back into cinemas on May 22nd, 2020.
