Netflix’s “The Witcher” has Found its Leading Actor

If you saw Henry Cavill as one of the top-trending topics on Twitter, you would be forgiven for gasping at the thought that something terrible may have happened.

But, relax.

The Mission: Impossible — Fallout actor has been cast in the Netflix adaptation of The Witcher by Andrzej Sapkowski.

The 35-year-old will play Geralt of Rivia who is mutant monster hunter, dealing with slavering abominations, political machinations, and manipulative Sorceresses.

Henry revealed recently that he had also been playing The Witcher video game, of which he said: “Love that game. Really good game.”

The project was announced in May 2017, with showrunner, Lauren Hissrich, saying Henry showed enormous passion.

“I’ve never forgotten the passion he brought. He IS Geralt. He always has been. I’m so thrilled to welcome HENRY CAVILL to the Witcher family,” she wrote on Twitter.
