Netflix gave us many amazing shows this year, but their post-apocalyptic black comedy Daybreak didn’t seem to resonate with the mainstream audience, so they decided to pull the plug after a single season.

The show’s co-creator Aron Coleite broke the news on Twitter and took a moment to thank the loyal fanbase for sticking around with these characters until the end of the line. “No one is as heartbroken as we are that we can’t share more of this ride with you. But we’re so grateful to have gotten to bring it this far. Thank you for riding with us, for your voices, for your enthusiasm, your memes, your fart jokes, and your unashamed crazy.”

Daybreak started streaming on Netflix on October 24th, and followed the adventures of high school outcast Josh Wheeler, and a group of misfits who join him on a mission to find his missing girlfriend in post-apocalyptic Glendale, California. The ensemble cast of this show included Colin Ford, Alyvia Alyn Lind, Sophie Simnett, Austin Crute, and Matthew Broderick.
