It seems Netflix is tossing some more coins to The Witcher.
Now that that song is firmly planted in your head again, and you’re rueing even reading this, you may be pleased to know that a movie based on the adventures of Geralt of Rivia is on the way.
Henry Cavill brought the character to life in the first season of the Netflix series, which is based on the novels by Polish writer Andrzej Sapkowski. The books have already been made into a highly successful video game, with an animated film now set to join the adaptation list.
The Nightmare of the Wolf will be animated by the Korean illustrators at Studio Mir, who brought us The Legend of Korra. Lauren Hissrich, who is the showrunner for the live-action series, will also be involved.
As it stands, we don’t have a date for the new film, but we can expect season 2 of The Witcher in 2021.
