If there’s one person who knows their crudités from their flambé, it’s Martha Stewart.
The Food Network has announced that the 76 year old will be taking a seat at the judging table on Chopped.
The hour-long reality series pits 4 contestants against each other, with each having to concoct an appetiser, entrée, and dessert from a rather bizarre combination of items given to them.
Try making a starter out of Asian pears, croissants… and rattlesnake.
From June 5th, the American cookbook author will join regular judges Maneet Chauhan, Scott Conant, Amanda Freitag, Alex Guarnaschelli, Marc Murphy, Marcus Samuelsson, Chris Santos and Geoffrey Zakarian, who are all kept in line by host Ted Allen.
Executive Vice President of Programming at the Food Network, Courtney White, said that “Having Martha’s expertise within the newest season of Chopped further reinforces why the series has long been one of the toughest culinary competitions on television.”
Let’s hope Martha has a strong stomach.
