Madonna has delayed the start date for her Madame X Tour.

The pop icon has announced that the opening performances of the Madame X Tour will be pushed back by several days. The delay is a result of “highly specialized production elements being delayed.”

The dates affected by the delay are the first three shows at the BAM Howard Gilman Opera House. Opening night was due to be September 12th but this show, along with the show on the 14th, has been pushed back to October 10th and 12th respectively. The show that was scheduled for the 15th has now been cancelled. Tickets will automatically be refunded to those with tickets for that night.

“Madame X is a perfectionist and wants to give you the most unique, magical, and musical experience,” Madonna said in a statement. “She underestimated the amount of time it would take to bring this kind of intimate theatrical experience to you and wants it to be perfect!!! Thank you so much for your understanding.”

The rest of the tour will be unaffected by the delay. Following her shows at BAM, Madonna will go on to wow audiences at her residencies in Las Vegas, as well as in Los Angeles, Chicago, and several East Coast locations.
