Disney has broken a personal record with their latest trailer.
Earlier this month, Disney gave us all the November boost we needed with a teaser trailer for their live-action remake of The Lion King. The trailer was only 90 seconds long, but that was all it took to convince us all that the movie is going to be incredible.
Although not everyone is a fan of the new live-action trend sweeping over Disney classics, curiosity, combined with love for the original, has lead Disney to break a record with their new trailer.
A day after the video went online, Disney announced: “To the entire pride: Thank you for helping the teaser trailer for #TheLionKing become the most-viewed Disney trailer debut ever as it reached a record-breaking 224.6 million global views in 24 hours!”

As well as setting a new personal best, The Lion King teaser has also become the second-most watched trailer in movie history. The only trailer that tops it is that of Avengers: Infinity War, which pulled in a whopping 230 million views in only a day.
The Lion King will be released July 19, 2019.
