Lil Nas X has re-written the Billboard chart!

For 24 years, Mariah Carey and Boyz II Men reigned supreme at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart, thanks to their 1995 song, “One Sweet Day”.

At the time, the track spent 16 weeks at number one — a feat which was not broken, but only matched, by Luis Fonsi, Daddy Yankee, and Justin Bieber’s 2017 hit, “Despacito.”

Until now, that is.

Lil Nas X has managed to do what none of the others could by having his collaboration with Billy Ray Cyrus, “Old Town Road,” linger at the top spot for a record-breaking 17 weeks!

The song was removed from the Country chart earlier this year after Billboard claimed that it did “not embrace enough elements of today’s country music to chart in its current version.” The rapper then reworked the track by adding Cyrus, and it reached number one in April.

Lil Nas thanked his fans in a video message posted on social media, as well as a tweet saying, “YEEE TF HAWWW.”

Can’t nobody tell him nothin’!
