You heard us right – Lauryn Hill released new music for the first time in five years!
“Guarding the Gates” will be featured in the film Queen & Slim, which will be released on November 27.
The queen of rap and hip hop’s last single, “Black Rage,” a song about the tragic shooting of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri, was released back in 2014. She’s continued touring and has made guest appearances including in Pusha-T’s 2019 single “Coming Home.”
Lauryn Hill’s debut album The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill won a Grammy Award. Some of her top single include “Doo Wop (That Thing),” “Ex-Factor,” “Killing Me Softly,” and “Everything is Everything.”
