Late night is set to look a little different.

For the past 17 years, audiences with slight insomnia have spent the early hours of the morning with Carson Daly on Last Call.

Last month, the 45 year old announced that he would be stepping down from the show, which has spawned over 2,000 episodes.

NBC has now chosen a fresh face to take over the slot.

You may be unfamiliar with her if you do not watch YouTube, but Lilly Singh is set to make mainstream TV her new platform as she becomes the only woman to host a late-night talk show on one of the big four networks.

A Little Late with Lilly Singh will be a half-hour-long combination of in-studio interviews and pre-taped comedy sketches and segments.

The YouTube star, actress, and author confirmed her new gig on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, saying, “An Indian-Canadian woman with her own late night show? Now that is a dream come true. I’m thrilled to bring it to life on NBC, and I hope my parents consider this to be as exciting as a grandchild.”

We’re sure they’ll be staying up.
