As things are winding down from the Royal Wedding more and more stories are coming out and some are them are outright hilarious.

It was quite the weekend for the lucky 600 guests who were invited to see Prince Harry and Meghan Markle say their ‘I do’s’ at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor. Among those guests were The Late Late Show host James Cordon and his wife.

Cordon and Prince Harry have known each other for about seven years, and when the Carpool Karaoke host got his invitation he was absolutely honored.

“It was one of the most beautiful ceremonies I’ve ever been to. It was gorgeous. It was a whole affair! It was happy, it was joyous and it was uplifting.” But that wasn’t quite the impression the cameras caught live and many joked that Cordon liked quite unpleased.

“People were like, ‘Why are you so grumpy?’ What do you want me to be doing, like [rocking out]?” Corden said with a laugh.

But then there were the flowers, so many flowers.

There were flowers everywhere—the most beautiful flowers you’ve ever seen,” he said. “I get quite bad allergies if I’m in such close proximity to flowers, so for a lot of the ceremony I just needed to sneeze. I spent a lot of the time [about to sneeze].

Luckily, Cordon was able to go for an internal sneeze at the most important moment of the day.

“Right at the point when the archbishop was saying, ‘If anyone knows of any reason…’ I was like, ‘Please don’t sneeze. Please don’t sneeze.’”

What a relief that Cordon knows all about comedic timing.
