Will he or won’t he?

Dave Bautista is doubting his role as a guardian of the Galaxy as a result of an executive decision by Disney.

The studio fired director of Guardian of the Galaxy: Vol. 3 (and the previous two films in the franchise), James Gunn, in July as a result of tweets he made a decade ago that had resurfaced.

Despite the 51-year-old having apologized for the remarks, and cast members writing an open letter in support of him, Disney chose to hold by its decision.

Bautista, who plays Drax, appeared on The Jonathan Ross Show where he revealed that his future with the franchise is uncertain, telling the host, “It’s a bitter-bitter conversation because I’m not really happy with what they’ve done with James Gunn.”

As for where the project currently stands, the 49-year-old said, “They’re putting the movie off. It’s on hold indefinitely,” concluding with, “To be honest with you I don’t know if I want to work for Disney.”

The studio recently dismissed crew members who had shown up for pre-production, telling that they could look for other work.
