Greg Kinnear is one of the good people.

The You’ve Got Mail star has signed on to a new pilot from Amazon that has been created by Whitney Cummings (Two Broke Girls) and Lee Daniels (Empire).

The longline for the comedy, set in a college ombudsman’s office, states: “Good People will use its college setting to navigate the current cultural climate, the concept of feminism across different generations, and the struggle to reconcile socially constructed ideas with current ethical views regarding complex issues such as sex, race, class, and gender.”

Kinnear will take on the role of charming, charismatic philosophy professor, Dr. Paul Keating.

He will star alongside Lisa Kudrow (who will also executive produce) as the ombudsman Lynn Steele, and creator Cummings as Helen Miller.

Cummings and Daniels both wrote the script for the pilot, with the latter set to direct.
