It ain’t easy being a working mom.
Just ask Drew Barrymore. The Santa Clarita Diet star began her career at the age of 7, and now has a five- and three-year-old of her own.
Drew’s intense filming schedule around the world means that she often has to leave her eldest daughter, Olive, for extended periods at a time.
In an Instagram post, the 43-year-old has now detailed just how she manages to do it all.
The actress states how she consciously conveys to Olive how she loves her job in an effort to empower her girls with the belief that working is positive and necessary.
In a second post on the social media platform, Drew also pays tribute to her ex-husband, Will Kopelman, for his influence on the girls’ lives.
Drew and Will got married in 2012 but finalized their divorce in 2016. Despite their separation, the pair still maintains a great parenting relationship, with Drew thanking her ex for providing stability in their daughters’ lives and enabling her to pursue her career whilst being a mom.
Olive and Frankie are two lucky kids.
