After announcing that their long-awaited fifth album is finally coming March 4, the Dixie Chicks have announced that the release of Gaslighter has been postponed.

Gaslighter was originally scheduled to drop next month after a 14-year hiatus with no new music from the group.

Reps for the group said in a statement that the “highly anticipated fifth studio album, Gaslighter, originally scheduled to drop on May 1, 2020, via Columbia Records, has been postponed. Additional details are forthcoming. Fans should continue to check @DixieChicks social media for additional updates and announcements.”

The Dixie Chicks join the slew of artists who have pushed back album releases due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic, some of them include Lady Gaga, Sam Smith, Margo Price, Alanis Morissette, Haim, and Alicia Keys.
