“Carpool Karoke” is renewed for a second season

Apple just renewed Carpool Karaoke: The Series  for their Apple Music platform. Based on the popular recurring segment from The Late Late Show with James Corden, the series pairs celebrities with each other as they drive together and lip-sync to popular music.

The first season of  Carpool Karaoke: The Series premiered in August 2017 and featured Will Smith, Alicia Keys, John Legend, James Corden, Billy Eichner, Metallica, Sophie Turner and Maisie Williams, Seth McFarlane, Ariana Grande, John Cena, LeBron James and many other celebrities. The season consisted of nineteen episodes running approximately 12-23 minutes each.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, CBS Corp. CEO Leslie Moonves announced this exciting news during a conference call with their investors. She explained that CBS is very excited to create exclusive and original content to share with their viewers.

Carpool Karaoke: The Series was among the first programs featured on the Apple Music platform, which also included Planet of the Apps, featuring Will. I. Am, Jessica Alba, Gwyneth Paltrow and Gary Vaynerchuck as judges for the entrepreneur series.

Carpool Karaoke: The Series  is produced by CBC Television Studios and Fulwell 73.
