Cardi B doesn’t just create memorable music, she has some pretty classic lines, too.
The Bronx-raised rapper has a very unique way of speaking, as can be seen in various interviews, including this one with Jimmy Fallon, where she explained certain catchphrases to The Tonight Show host.
The most famous saying in her repertoire is probably “Okurrr!” and now she plans to make it hers alone.
The Grammy Award-winning artist has reportedly filed a trademark for the word to use for “paper goods, namely paper cups and posters.”
But that’s not all.
Another filing has been made for “Okurr” with one less “r” that will be used for “clothing — namely T-shirts, sweatshirts, hooded sweatshirts, pants, shorts, jackets — footwear, headgear — namely hats and caps — blouses, bodysuits, dresses, jumpsuits, leggings, skirts, sweaters, undergarments.”
So hands off Cardi’s slogan, okurrr?!
