Bruce Springsteen will be singing for those who have proved themselves to be tougher than the rest.

Each year, a fundraiser is held for army veterans who were wounded in overseas conflicts.

The Stand Up for Heroes event was first held as an initiative of ABC News correspondent Bob Woodruff, who was inspired by his own journey.

While embedded with US troops in Iraq during 2006, he was seriously injured by an improvised explosive device (IED) and had to undergo brain surgery, a 36-day coma, and extensive physical therapy.

“Even after 13 years of Stand Up for Heroes, the event continues to inspire our audience and our nation,” Woodruff said in a statement. “We can’t forget that these brave individuals stand up to serve in our military, and we need to show our support by standing up for them in return.”

The line-up for this year’s show will include Bruce Springsteen, Jon Stewart, John Oliver, Ronny Chieng, and Hasan Minhaj.

The 13th annual Stand Up For Heroes veterans fundraiser will take place on November 4th at the Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden.
