Ariana Grande will not be taking her 7 rings to the Grammys.

Music’s biggest night is happening on Sunday the 10th of February, with Alicia Keys taking on hosting duties for the event.

The show is renowned for showcasing the best and most current musicians, with many stars performing their newest tracks live for the first time.

Ariana was hoping to do just that with her latest song, “7 Rings.”

The 25-year-old’s 5th studio album, Thank U, Next drops two days before the Grammys, and so it makes sense that she would like to perform her newest hit.

The producers of the ceremony had other ideas, however.

According to Variety, producers initially refused to allow her to perform the song, but later came to a compromise that she could do so as part of a medley — on condition that they were allowed to choose the second song.

As such stipulations we’re not imposed on other performers, Ariana decided to pull her performance from the show. And not even attend at all.

That’s gonna be rather awkward seeing as Ari is on all the Grammys’ promotional billboards…
