Amy Schumer has won round two.
Ever since the I Feel Pretty star and Meghan Markle announced their pregnancies within days of each other, a hilarious “contest” has been held between the pair.
At least according to Amy.
“Why is she my nemesis?” the comedienne jokingly said in a video for InStyle. “Because she’s pregnant at the same time as me, and I’m not letting her get away with that.”
The ladies, who are both actresses and both 37 years old, ended up both having baby boys — within hours of each other.
Meghan’s son was born at 5:26 AM London time, which was just an hour and a half after Amy welcomed her son at 10:55 PM in New York.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex chose to reveal their baby’s name (Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor) on Wednesday afternoon, while Amy got in a day earlier.
Her newborn’s name is Gene Attell Fischer, with his middle name seemingly being a reference to Amy’s friend and fellow comedian, Dave Attell.
It will be interesting to see whether Meghan can reclaim the lead…
