Amy Adams’ filmography covers everything from Disney classics to sci-fi epics, but her next film is unlike anything we’ve seen her in before. The first trailer for her next film is one wild ride, and it sees the six-time Oscar nominee going feral amid the demands of motherhood.

This highly-anticipated horror comedy draws inspiration from Rachel Yoder’s novel and it centers on an artist who put her career on pause to become a stay-at-home mom. When the demands of raising a toddler in the suburbs become too difficult to bear, she starts noticing the bizarre and undeniable signs that she may be turning into a dog.

Amy Adams leads the cast of this horror comedy, alongside Scoot MacNairy, Mary Holland, Jessica Harper, Zoë Chao, Ella Thomas, Stacey Swift, Archana Rajan, Adrienne Rose White, Darius De La Cruiz, and Roslyn Gentle. Marielle Heller, who found acclaim with Can You Ever Forgive Me? and A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood, was in charge of writing and directing this film

Hulu was initially planning to release Nightb—- as a streaming movie, before switching up the strategy and giving it a theatrical release date on December 6. Before heading to theaters, this horror comedy will premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 7.
