Apple has announced AirPods Pro – wireless headphones with added noise cancellation features.
When choosing between earphones and headphones, noise cancellation is usually a feature that you would expect from the later. When you’re riding to work on the subway, it usually takes a chunky pair to block out the constant background noise.
Now, Apple has come up with a high-end solution to the problem of whether to go wireless with earphones or cancel out noise with headphones. They have successfully combined both features into one product that allows users to limit what they hear to their music while also having the convenience of wireless.
The official Apple description of the product reads: “Active Noise Cancellation for immersive sound. Transparency mode for hearing what’s happening around you. A customizable fit for all-day comfort. Magic like you’ve never heard.”
In addition to these features, users can opt to switch off the noise cancellation feature when they want to be more aware of their surroundings. All you need to do is “press and hold the force sensor on the stem” to switch between the two modes.
Prices start at around $249 and will be available for purchase on Wednesday (October 30).
