After One Season, “Deputy” Has Been Cancelled

Stephen Dorff in "Deputy"

Fox’s modern-day Western procedural, Deputy, starring Stephen Dorff, has been canceled after just one season.

The 13-episode drama followed career lawman Bill Hollister (Dorff) who takes on the role of acting sheriff of Los Angeles Country after the death of the current sheriff. Although he’s more equipped to round up criminals than navigate the politics of staff meetings, he’s in charge of 10,000 deputies.

Yara Martinez, Brian Van Holt, Siena Goines, Bex Taylor-Klaus, Shane Paul McGhie, and Mark Moses also starred in the series.

In other news, Fox also canceled freshman series, Almost Family. Bless the Harts, with 9-1-1: Lobe Star, Prodigal Son, and Duncanville were renewed by the network.
