Adam Sandler Extends His Film Deal with Netflix

Adam Sandler has secured himself as one of Netflix’s best assets.

The Uncut Gems actor last year starred in Murder Mystery alongside Jennifer Aniston, which became one of the streaming service’s biggest hits and the most-watched feature in Australia.

Prior to the comedy, Sandler starred in The Ridiculous 6, The Do-Over, Sandy Wexler, The Week Of, and 100% Fresh, while his production company was responsible for bringing us Father of the Year and Wrong Missy.

Netflix is now planning to continue the successful collaboration by extending its deal with the 53-year-old actor for another 4 films.

“Whether you know him as Sandman, the Water Boy, Billy Madison, Happy Gilmore, Nick Spitz or simply Adam, one thing is clear: our members can’t get enough of him,” said Ted Sarandos, Netflix Chief Content Officer. “They love his stories and his humor, as we saw with Murder Mystery. So I could not be more excited to extend our partnership with Adam and the Happy Madison team and deliver more laughs around the world.”

Sandler’s next film for Netflix is Hubie Halloween, which is expected out later this year.
