2023 has been an epic year for SZA, and she’s getting ready to end it on a high note—as the main contender at the upcoming Grammy Awards! The R&B superstar will find herself at the forefront of the music’s biggest night after scoring nine nominations for the upcoming Grammys.

SZA secured a nod in the coveted album of the year category with SOS, but taking this award home won’t be an easy task. She faces tough competition from several formidable contenders, from Taylor Swift’s Midnights and Olivia Rodrigo’s Guts to Miley Cyrus’ Endless Summer Vacation and Lana Del Rey’s Ocean Blvd.

SZA will also be in the running for both song and record of the year with her chart-topping smash hit “Kill Bill”. Several more songs managed to break into both fields, including Swift’s “Anti-Hero”, Rodrigo’s “Vampire”, Cyrus’ “Flowers”, Batiste’s “Butterfly”, and Billie Eilish’s “What Was I Made For?”

SZA will share the limelight with Victoria Monét, Phoebe Bridgers, and Serban Ghenea, who are in the running for seven awards each. They’re closely followed by Jon Batiste, Brandy Clark, Boygenius, Miley Cyrus, Billie Eilish, Olivia Rodrigo, and Taylor Swift with six nominations.

The 66th Annual Grammy Awards are slated to air on CBS and Paramount+ on February 4, 2024, with the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles serving as this year’s venue.
