David Schwimmer is joining Will & Grace.
The former Friends star has been tapped for a recurring role as Grace Adler’s (Debra Messing) new love interest for the upcoming season of the Will & Grace revival.
The revival’s second season will be the comedy series’ 10th season overall. Earlier this year, co-creator Max Mutchnick told Deadline that they’re “trying to open up the series this year. Last year was about coming back and seeing how the audience was going to respond, and they embraced the show, and that was thrilling. Now, we need to move forward.”
This means that season two will bring with it new things, including new love interests and relationship to the still single Grace and her roommate, Will (Eric McCormack).
Rounding up guests appearances for the upcoming season are Chelsea Handler and the returning Alec Baldwin and Mary McCormack.
Will & Grace returns October 4 on NBC.
