Deadline confirms that Uma Thurman is joining Netflix’s new supernatural drama, Chambers.

The 48-year-old actress has been tapped as one of the leads in the upcoming hourlong drama. The series landed a 10-episode straight-to-series order by the streaming giant in January.

The series follows a heart attack survivor who becomes consumed by the heart donation that saved her life. The closer she gets to the truth about her donor’s sudden death, the more she starts taking on the characteristics of the deceased. Thurman will portray Nancy, mother of a heart donor who gets into a relationship with the recipient only to find out her daughter may not be as dead as she thought.

The project is helmed by Stephen Gaghan, who will executive produce via Super Emotional alongside Rachel and Cooper as well as Wolfgang Hammer and Winnie Kemp via Super Deluxe. Alfonso Gomez-Rejon will direct the pilot.

Best known for Pulp Fiction and Kill Bill franchise, Thurman’s TV credits include Hysterical Blindness, Smash, Imposters, and The Slap.
