TV Director Peter Baldwin Dies Aged 86

Emmy-winning TV director Peter Baldwin, famous for his work during the ’60s, ’70s and ’80s, passed away on November 19 aged 86.

His career started after he was discovered by a Hollywood talent scout in his senior year at Stanford. After acting in several movies in the U.S. he moved to Italy, where he worked with directors Robert Rossellini, Francesco Rosi and Dino Risi.

He won a Primetime Emmy Award for directing The Wonder Years and a Cable ACE Award for Dream On.

Baldwin left behind wife Terry, son Drew, daughters Amy and Eleonora, five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
