The Toronto International Film Festival is set to be rather memorable for Joaquin Phoenix.

The Don’t Worry, He Won’t Get Far on Foot actor is scheduled to appear at the festival in Canada’s largest city to promote his upcoming film, Joker.

Phoenix will be portraying the Batman villain in the Todd Phillips film, which is set to have its North American premiere at the festival next month ahead of its release on October 4th.

But in addition to walking the red carpet, the three-time Oscar nominee is also scheduled to be honored for his acting.

He is expected to receive the TIFF’s inaugural Tribute Actor Awards at a gala on September 9th.

“His [Phoenix’s] outstanding contribution to cinema acts as a testament to TIFF’s core mission to transform the way people see the world through film,” TIFF co-head Joana Vicente said in a statement.

The 2019 Toronto International Film Festival will be held from September 5th to 15th.
