What do Kanye West, Rihanna, Busy Phillips, and Kylie Jenner have in common? Influence. Each of them has been named amongst TIME magazine’s 25 Most Influential People on the Internet.

The publication acknowledged the influence of the 4 individuals, particularly when it came to their impact on social media:

In spite of Kanye’s recent tweets causing controversy, his latest album, Ye, helped the 41-year-old achieve the record-equalling feat of having 8 consecutive albums debut at number 1 on the Billboard 200 chart.

Kanye’s sister-in-law, Kylie, meanwhile, is the highest-paid celebrity on Instagram, with her February post announcing the name of her daughter, Stormi Webster, becoming the most-liked image ever posted on the platform.

Busy Phillips may not have as illustrious a film career as her best friend, Michelle Williams, but the I Feel Pretty star has utilized her Instagram account to let people in on her daily life which includes being a working mother and battling with mental illness.

And Rihanna’s recent foray into the beauty and fashion industry has made the Work singer even more popular, while her denouncement of her image being used as part of a domestic violence campaign by Snapchat in March caused the company to lose $800 million in revenue.
