The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel is reaching its end after five seasons, and we finally know what to expect once it comes back. Amazon dropped the first trailer for the final chapter of this series, which sees Midge Maisel trying to navigate the murky waters of the stand-up comedy world for one last time.

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel centers on a young housewife Midge Maisel, who decided to give stand-up comedy a shot after her marriage falls apart. Season 5 will see her find herself closer than ever to the success she’s dreamed of, only to discover that closer than ever is still so far away.

The show’s co-creator Amy Sherman-Palladino told The Hollywood Reporter they always wanted the show to have between four and six seasons, and that their priority for Season 5 was to honor the characters.

“The bar is just making sure that we put this cast through what we put them through and made them work as hard as they did, and that they get to come out of this feeling like they’ve made a good journey, and that their characters have traveled and ended someplace of worth,” said Sherman-Palladino.

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel is led by Rachel Brosnahan, and it also stars Alex Borstein, Michael Zegen, Marin Hinkle, Tony Shalhoub, Kevin Pollak, Caroline Aaron, and Luke Kirby. Season 5 will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on April 14, and it will feature a total of nine episodes.
