You may have heard about a little artist named Taylor Swift.

No? Well, allow us to enlighten you. She is the Artist of the Decade, according to the American Music Awards.

The AMAs have announced that they will be bestowing the prestigious honor on the “You Need to Calm Down” singer at the 2019 ceremony next week.

Taylor began her career in 2004, but dominated charts between 2010 and 2019 during which time she released five albums and won 10 Grammy Awards.

She also has a total of 23 American Music Awards, making her a natural choice for Artist of the Decade.

“She’s won more AMAs than anyone this decade… She’s a five-time 2019 #AMAs nominee… AND she’s performing at this year’s AMAs LIVE on Nov. 24…,” the official AMA account tweeted.” @taylorswift13 is our ARTIST OF THE DECADE!”

“Taylor’s impact on music this decade is undeniable and her performances on the American Music Awards have been truly spectacular,” Mark Bracco, executive vice president of programming and development at Dick Clark Productions, said in a statement. “We’re thrilled to honour her as our Artist of the Decade and can’t wait for her to blow everyone away with an epic, career-spanning performance unlike any other!”

We can’t think of anyone more deserving!
