There is more to see that can ever be seen… but thankfully we’re getting a sneak peek at the live-action version of The Lion King.

Disney has been remaking its animated classics, having already released Cinderella, The Jungle Book, Beauty and the Beast, and audiences eagerly awaiting Aladdin and Mulan.

Director of The Jungle Book, Jon Favreau, will now be taking us back to Pride Rock as he retells the story of Simba and the rest of the animals in The Lion King.

With The Circle of Life playing in the background, we are reintroduced to the young lion cub who will one day rule over all.

James Earl Jones reprises his role from the original as Mufasa, telling his son: “Everything the light touches is our kingdom. But a king’s time as ruler rises and falls like the sun. One day, the sun will set on my time here and will rise as you as the new king.”

Jones will be joined by an all-star cast of Donald Glover as Simba, Chiwetel Ejiofor as Scar, Billy Eichner and Seth Rogen as Timon and Pumbaa, Alfre Woodard as Sarabi, John Oliver as Zazu, and Beyoncé as Nala.

Get ready to be moved on the 19th of July 2019.
