Ackles not only directed Thursday’s episode of Supernatural but the first single from the album, “Sounds of Someday” was featured in the episode.

Ackles band Radio Company, which consists of this former roommate, Steve Carlson, started in 2018. The two have been making music for almost 15 years.

The album, titled Vol. 1, features a mix of different musical genres, “You get some soul, you get some heavy rock, you get some singer-songwriter, and you get some cool, laid-back stoner music. It checked a lot of boxes for me. That was a better representation of us as songwriters and our music tastes because I like to listen to different stuff. And if I can listen to different stuff on the same album, then that would be great.” Ackles told EW.

Yes, Supernatural fans, we’re sorry to tell you that the show, which seemed to have gone on forever, does actually have an end date…

The longest-running sci-fi series on American television will be calling it quits after its next season, its 15th.

The show’s stars Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki and Misha Collins broke the news in a video posted to their social media accounts.

“We just told the crew that though we’re very, very excited about moving into our 15th season, it will be our last,” Jensen says in the video. “Fifteen years of a show that has certainly changed my life… And we just wanted you to hear from us that though we’re excited about next year, it will be the finale. The big, grand finale of an institution.”

The series first debuted in 2005 back when The CW was still The WB.

But, as Misha said, “this family is not going anywhere even though the show will come to an end.”

The 15th and final season of Supernatural will consist of 20 episodes.

All we have left now is to bid the brothers Winchester, Sam and Dean, and their angel friend, Castiel, farewell, and sing them off with the song that has been accompanying the show from day 1.

Carry on, my wayward sons. There’ll be peace when you are gone. Lay your weary heads to rest. Don’t you cry no more.

Fans of several CW shows are breathing a collective sigh of relief after they were officially renewed for another season.

10 series have been given a nod of approval by the network, including Riverdale, Arrow, Jane the Virgin and Supernatural.

The Winchester brothers will be returning to our screens for a 14th season (who knew there were even any ghouls left to vanquish?), while Jane the Virgin star, Gina Rodriguez hinted last month that the upcoming 5th season may well be its last.

Also heading towards its end? Crazy Ex-Girlfriend which was picked up for the 4th season.

Joining the list of renewed shows are The Flash, Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow and newcomers, Dynasty and Black Lightning, both of which will be premiering their sophomore seasons.

“We are proud to have such a deep bench of great returning series for 2018-19,” says CW President, Mark Pedowitz. “By picking these ten series up for next season, we have a terrific selection of programming to choose from when we set our fall schedule in May, with more still to come.”
