The Supernatural star released his first album last Friday.
Ackles not only directed Thursday’s episode of Supernatural but the first single from the album, “Sounds of Someday” was featured in the episode.
Ackles band Radio Company, which consists of this former roommate, Steve Carlson, started in 2018. The two have been making music for almost 15 years.
The album, titled Vol. 1, features a mix of different musical genres, “You get some soul, you get some heavy rock, you get some singer-songwriter, and you get some cool, laid-back stoner music. It checked a lot of boxes for me. That was a better representation of us as songwriters and our music tastes because I like to listen to different stuff. And if I can listen to different stuff on the same album, then that would be great.” Ackles told EW.
