]]>Usher opened the show with “My Way”, but quickly switched to “Caught Up” and “U Don’t Have to Call” before bringing out the reinforcement. Alicia Keys was the first to join him, and their renditions of “If I Ain’t Got You” and “My Boo” set the stage for the rest of the show.
H.E.R. and will.i.am. were also by Usher’s side during one of the biggest moments of his career. Lil Jon and Ludacris joined him in the final moments, and helped him seal the deal with the final song “Yeah!”
Usher and his guests weren’t the only music stars at this year’s Super Bowl. Reba McEntire performed the national anthem, while Post Malone delivered a powerful rendition of “America the Beautiful”. Taylor Swift, Ice Spice, and Lana Del Rey were some of many celebrities in attendance.
Super Bowl LVIII took place on February 11 at Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada, and resulted in the Kansas City Chiefs’ second consecutive Super Bowl win.

]]>Usher confirmed the news by starring in a series of silly promotional videos that show him skeptically reacting after receiving a call about his headlining Super Bowl spot from several celebrities, including Kim Kardashian, Deion Sanders, Marshawn Lynch, and Odell Beckham Jr.
Seth Dudowsky, the NFL head of music, confirmed Usher’s involvement and said they’re looking forward to hosting another halftime show for the history books alongside Roc Nation and Apple Music.
“Usher is an icon whose music has left an indelible mark on the cultural landscape throughout his career, we couldn’t be more excited to have him headline this year’s Apple Music Super Bowl halftime show,” said Dudowsky in a statement.
Usher pretty much manifested his headlining Super Bowl slot after telling Access Hollywood’s Scott Evans it would be a dream come true to perform at the halftime show earlier this year. He’ll take the Super Bowl stage at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada on February 11, 2024, and his halftime show performance will coincide with the release of his upcoming new album Coming Home.

Things just get better from there, and she knocked us off our feet with her amazing performance, which included such smash-hits as “Only Girl in the World”, “Rude Boy”, and “Umbrella” before she closed the show with “Diamonds”.
Rihanna previously told Apple Music’s Nadeska Alexis that she wanted the halftime show to be a celebration of her catalog, but doing it in just 13 minutes wasn’t an easy task. She reportedly came up with 39 different versions of a setlist before choosing 12 songs to perform, spanning her entire career.
Super Bowl LVII took place on February 12, at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, and it saw the Kansas City Chiefs win their second title in four years.

]]>Rihanna announced she’s performing at the Super Bowl halftime show next year by posting a photo of herself holding an NFL ball. The NFL officials confirmed her involvement and reposted her photo on their social media channels.
The upcoming halftime show will mark a huge shift because the NFL parted ways with Pepsi after a decade and found a new partner in Apple Music. The company’s VP of Apple Music and Beats, Oliver Schusser, described Rihanna as an incredible artist for the inaugural Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime Show.
Roc Nation is coming on board as executive producer and the strategic entertainment advisor for the live performance. Their founder Jay-Z, who helped Rihanna sign her first major contract with Def Jam, praised her as “a generational talent” and “a woman of humble beginnings who has surpassed expectations at every turn.”
Rihanna will headline the halftime show on February 12, 2023, when the Super Bowl LVII is set to take place at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.

]]>Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg kicked things off with their collaboration “The Next Episode” before delivering an epic cover of 2Pac’s “California Love”. They were followed by the guest performer 50 Cent, who gave us one of the show’s biggest viral moments with his song “In Da Club”.
Mary J. Blige was one of the show’s shiniest stars, and her performance of “Family Affair” and “No More Drama” was one for the books. She was followed by Kendrick Lamar, who represented the new generation of hip-hop with his songs “M.A.A.D City” and “Alright”.
Lamar joined Eminem as he entered the stage to perform “Forgot About Dre”. The most talked-about moment of the entire show came during Eminem’s song “Lose Yourself” and he ended up taking the knee at the end of his performance. The five headliners then closed the show with a joint rendition of “Still D.R.E.”
The Super Bowl LVI took place at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California on February 13th, with the Los Angeles Rams being crowned as the winners.

]]>Without any supporting performers or flashy gimmicks to rely on, the Canadian singer let his music speak—and it spoke volumes. His set consisted of his biggest hits, such as “Can’t Feel My Face”, “Starboy”, and “The Hills”, and the beloved songs from his latest album After Hours, including “Blinding Lights” and “Save Your Tears”.
Some parts of his performance may have been strange to people who aren’t familiar with his oeuvre, but it was a real treat for the fans. Each and every tiny detail—including those bandaged dancers that got everyone talking—were an obvious nod to the persona and rich inner world he created on After Hours.
Like every halftime show that took place in the era of Twitter, this one led to countless memes that kept us laughing all night long. They were poking fun at everything from the backup dancers to the confused look on The Weeknd’s face and made us appreciate his performance even more by finding some humor in the whole ordeal.

]]>The 15-minute performance started with Shakira, who sang “She Wolf” and followed it up with “Whenever, Wherever” and “Hips Don’t Lie.” She then sang Cardi B’s “I Like It” featuring Bad Bunny, who came on stage to perform it with Shakira. All eyes were on Shakira’s belly dancing, iconic hips that don’t lie, and her guitar playing.
J.Lo then took center stage, showing off her pole-dancing moves from Hustlers. She performed some of her greatest hits, including “Jenny from the Block,” “I’m Real,” “Get Right,” and “Waiting for Tonight.”
Columbian artist J Balvin joined Lopez for “Qua Calor,” while she sang “Love Don’t Cost a Thing,” before singing a Beyoncé collaboration with Balvin, “Mi Gente.” When Balvin left the stage, Lopez sang “On the Floor,” and her daughter Emme joined her on stage to lead a children’s choir in “Let’s Get Loud” followed by Bruce Springsteen’s “Born in the U.S.A,” while Lopez herself proudly held a Puerto Rican flag.
The final number was “Waka Waka,” where Lopez and Shakira finished off the night together.

]]>The pop superstar, who’s currently receiving a lot of award buzz for her supporting role in Hustlers, compared performing at the Super Bowl to winning an Academy Award, and said it’s much less restrictive than touring.
“It’s like winning the Oscar. It’s the biggest show that there is. It has the biggest audience. You get to have this big production. Like, you don’t get to do that on tour. You know, everything’s budget conscious,” J. Lo told CBS This Morning.
The Super Bowl will take place on February 2nd, 2020, and Lopez will be co-headlining the show alongside fellow Latin superstar Shakira. During a previous interview with Jimmy Fallon, Lopez said they’re going to split the time they have between them and hopefully welcome a couple of special guests to the stage.
