The greatest superhero of all will now get his own chance to shine.

The man responsible for the creation of some of the most beloved comic book characters, Stan Lee, passed away in November at the age of 95.

Were it not for the nonagenarian, the world would not have Spider-Man, the X-Men, or any of The Avengers.

And so, a stellar tribute to the late New Yorker has been created to allow comic book fans to pay tribute to the stalwart.

Excelsior! A Stan Lee Celebration has been organised by investment company Legion M, brand company Agents of Mayhem, and Lee’s POW! Entertainment, as well as Clerks director Kevin Smith, who will hold discussions with Star Wars actor Mark Hamill, Deadpool co-creator Rob Liefeld, Batman executive producer Michael Uslan, Daredevil star Vincent D’Onofrio, hip-hop artist RZA, and the producer of X-Men and Transformers Tom DeSanto.

The event, which will be held at the TCL Chinese Theatre on the 30th of January, will also include videos tributes and live performances of Stan’s favourite music and poetry.

Proceeds will go to The Hero Initiative which is a nonprofit that helps aged comic creators in need.

Stan Lee was a creator until the end.

The man responsible for bringing the Marvel Universe into existence passed away on Monday at the age of 95.

Following his death, the comic book author’s daughter, JC Lee, has revealed that her father was working with her on a new superhero.

“We have been working on a character called Dirt Man. The last little angel we’ve got tucked away is called Dirt Man,” she said. “I said, ‘Daddy please, no clatter, no steel, no any of that. Let’s get down and dirty… Let’s do Dirt Man.”

As for the future of the character, the 58-year-old said she hopes he will be made into a film.

Lee also revealed that she is also planning to create a childhood literacy foundation in her late father’s name.

“The importance of the written word and the importance of reading is not to be underestimated. One reason Stan is ‘Stan the Man’ is he took his craft very seriously,” she said. “There’s a lot to be passed on to children about reading and writing, maybe doing competitions – we’re taking this as far as we can take it.”

We hope to have not seen the last of Mr. Lee.

Ain’t nothin’ keeping Stan Lee down.

The man responsible for creating iconic characters such as Spider-Man, Black Panther, and The X-Men has had a hard time of late…

Last July, the comic book author’s wife of 70 years, Joan, passed away, and he then found himself embroiled in a legal debacle in which he sued his former manager for fraud and accused the company he co-founded, POW! Entertainment, of stealing his name and likeness.

But now, in a new video posted to Twitter, the Marvel man has assured fans that if they thought he was down and out, he is most certainly back!

“It’s taken me a while to get used to being 79-years-old,” joked the 95-year-old.

He continued to remind fans just how important they are to him: “We’ve been together so many generations, and I don’t want that to stop. I don’t consider you as fans. I consider you as close, close friends… You’re my friends, I’m your friend, and we’re not gonna let anything come between that arrangement.”.

I’m warning you, I’m back again with new energy, and new care, and new protestations of the fact that I love my fans,” he promised.

We’re happy to have you, Stan!

Kevin Smith is coming to Stan Lee’s rescue.

The 95-year-old brought us the characters of Spider-Man, Black Panther, The X-Men, The Hulk, and dozens of other comic book superheroes during his time as editor-in-chief of Marvel Comics.

Lee’s estate is estimated to be worth between $50 million and $70 million. The Hollywood Reporter recently obtained a declaration signed by the nonagenarian, which alleged that Lee’s daughter, J.C., is attempting to take advantage of her father and gain control over his assets, property and money. J.C. has a habit of overspending, according to the document.

In light of the report—and a bout of pneumonia which Lee does not seem to have recovered from since February—comedian Kevin Smith (who previously directed Lee in the films Mallrats and Yoga Hosers) has now invited the comic book legend to live with him.

Whether Lee decides to take Smith up on the offer or not, let’s hope that the Marvel man finds a superhero in his time of need.
