This is the first time that Sheeran and Bieber have collaborated since Bieber’s 2015 hit “Love Yourself.” This time it is Bieber who is featured on Sheeran’s song, and the lyrics hit close to home and are symbolic of the work he has been doing on himself personally.

The support of wife Hailey, and friends like Sheeran and Ariana Grande has been instrumental to Bieber’s overall well-being.

Some lyrics from the song read similar to Bieber’s own social media posts, namely “You’re making me feel like I’m loved by somebody.”

Earlier this month he wrote on Instagram, “I haven’t believed the truth about myself I haven’t believed I am loved.”

In his tweet, he revealed the name and cover art of his new album which is titled Egypt Station. Of the title he said in a statement: 

“I liked the words ‘Egypt Station’. It reminded me of the ‘album’ albums we used to make… ‘Egypt Station’ starts off at the station on the first song and then each song is like a different station. So it gives us some idea to base all the songs around that. I think of it as a dream location that the music emanates from.”

McCartney spoke with BBC News about releasing new music decades into his successful career. 

“The great thing about the fact that you’ve been so successful for so long, comes the not-so-great thing, which is that at some point, you’re just gonna get big-headed… So yeah, if songs don’t just lay themselves out, then I will be quite strict, and think, ‘No, this is really lousy. I hate that bit of melody. I’ve gotta change it.’ And so then I will just work harder on it, come back to it, and spend some time, and try and fix it. And if I fix it, that’s fine, and then we go and record it. If I don’t, that’s not fine, and it gets chucked.”

The music icon also confirmed that he will be touring the new album. 

“[W]e definitely know we’re out in September, and beyond… before then, before August, we might just do a couple of little gigs, just because they’re fun.”

Egypt Station will be out September 7.

The new single comes 5 years with no new music, that is since the release of their last album In a World Like This. 

In the new single titled Don’t Go Breaking My Heart the Boys are getting personal, singing about heartbreak, a staple in countless pop songs. 

But despite the recurring theme, the group just knew they had something special in their hands,

“The minute we heard this song we knew it was special,” Kevin Richardson said in a statement. “I geeked out over the piano and synths. When that groove drops on the second verse, COME ON. Great verse, hook, and melodies. Just makes you wanna listen over and over again.” Bandmate Howie Dorough added, “It had that wow factor from the demo through to its final recording.”

The group has been working on their Backstreet Boys: Larger Than Life Las Vegas residency as well as a 10th studio album. Don’t Go Breaking My Heart is the second track recorded for the album. The band played around with different genres while making the record, including country, which proved successful in their collaborative track with Florida Georgia Line. 

“We’ve had a lot of love from the country world lately, so we definitely explored that and at one point even talked about doing a straight-up country record,” Dorough said. “Not to say that isn’t still on the table and something we’ll consider down the line, but we kept coming back to the fact that our roots remain in the pop world. And, with all the nostalgia of everything right now, we know we’re essentially a pop band.”

Their new album is set to drop this year.

Carpool Karaoke: The Series was among the first programs featured on the Apple Music platform, which also included Planet of the Apps, featuring Will. I. Am, Jessica Alba, Gwyneth Paltrow and Gary Vaynerchuck as judges for the entrepreneur series.

The Academy announced that Miley Cyrus and Elton John will take to the stage at the upcoming award ceremony. Cyrus and John will perform together on one of John’s classic song in order to honor the Recording Academy President’s Merit Award that Elton will receive.

Elton John is a five time Grammy Award winner. His legacy is celebrated this year, two days after the Grammy at Elton John: I’m Still Standing — A GRAMMY Salute concert. Stars like John Legend, Kesha, Little Big Town and Miley Cyrus will be a part of the concert which will air live on CBS at 8pm.

Miley Cyrus received her first Grammy nomination back in 2015 for her album “Bangerz”. She is also a former performer. In 2009, she made her debut with Taylor Swift.

The Recording Academy also revealed that U2, Kendrick Lamar and Sam Smith will be seen performing at the award ceremony. Lamar is a seven time Grammy Award Winner, Smith has 4 Grammy wins and U2 has won a whooping 22 Grammy Awards.

Previously, the list of performers announced included Cardi B, Bruno Mars, Alessia Cara, DJ Khaled, Lady Gaga, Patti LaPone, Luis Fonzi, Daddy Yankee and others.
