]]>The announcement was made at the Power-Con Convention by actor-director Kevin Smith.
The man behind Clerks will be bringing the Mattel toy to life in an anime series entitled Masters of the Universe: Revelation.
“I’m Eternia-ly grateful to Mattel TV and Netflix for entrusting me with not only the secrets of Grayskull, but also their entire Universe,” said Smith who will serve as showrunner and executive producer.
“In Revelation, we pick up right where the classic era left off to tell an epic tale of what may be the final battle between He-Man and Skeletor! Brought to life with the most metal character designs Powerhouse Animation can contain in the frame, this is the Masters of the Universe story you always wanted to see as a kid!”
There is no date for when He-Man will arrive on the streaming network.

]]>The 95-year-old brought us the characters of Spider-Man, Black Panther, The X-Men, The Hulk, and dozens of other comic book superheroes during his time as editor-in-chief of Marvel Comics.
Lee’s estate is estimated to be worth between $50 million and $70 million. The Hollywood Reporter recently obtained a declaration signed by the nonagenarian, which alleged that Lee’s daughter, J.C., is attempting to take advantage of her father and gain control over his assets, property and money. J.C. has a habit of overspending, according to the document.
In light of the report—and a bout of pneumonia which Lee does not seem to have recovered from since February—comedian Kevin Smith (who previously directed Lee in the films Mallrats and Yoga Hosers) has now invited the comic book legend to live with him.
This is heartbreaking. We love you, @TheRealStanLee. You are always welcome to come live with me – or please let us fans buy you a new place to live. We miss you, sir. https://t.co/egR7Ijv2pi

Whether Lee decides to take Smith up on the offer or not, let’s hope that the Marvel man finds a superhero in his time of need.

]]>The 47-year-old went on Twitter to inform fans what happened.
“After the first show this evening, I had a massive heart attack. The Doctor who saved my life told me I had 100% blockage of my LAD artery (aka “the Widow-Maker”). If I hadn’t canceled show 2 to go to the hospital, I would’ve died tonight. But for now, I’m still above ground!” he wrote along with the photo.
Smith was about to shoot a standup special in California but canceled it to go to the hospital. Many friends and colleagues send their love via social networks, including Ralph Garman, Chris Pratt, and others.
