American filmmaker Kevin Smith has tweeted a selfie from the hospital after suffering “a massive heart attack”. He’s currently recovering.
The 47-year-old went on Twitter to inform fans what happened.
“After the first show this evening, I had a massive heart attack. The Doctor who saved my life told me I had 100% blockage of my LAD artery (aka “the Widow-Maker”). If I hadn’t canceled show 2 to go to the hospital, I would’ve died tonight. But for now, I’m still above ground!” he wrote along with the photo.
Smith was about to shoot a standup special in California but canceled it to go to the hospital. Many friends and colleagues send their love via social networks, including Ralph Garman, Chris Pratt, and others.
