When it comes to the rest of the Billboard 200 chart for this week, Halsey hit the no. 2 spot with her latest album If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power. Olivia Rodrigo’s former no. 1 album Sour is still going strong, and it fell from no. 1 to no. 3 this week.

The new release date was confirmed by West’s representatives in a statement to Pitchfork. This comes after the social media star and TV personality Justin LaBoy also mentioned August 6th as a new release date.

In a Twitter post, LaBoy wrote that West opted to push the release date in order to “give his fans the best possible product without rushing anything.”

Donda will be Kanye West’s 10th studio effort and follows the 2019’s release Jesus is Born. The album is set to feature a number of high-profile guests, including Jay-Z, the late Pop Smoke, Pusha T, Playboi Carti, and Travis Scott, among others.

Some fans already had a chance to listen to the record last week during the Donda listening party that was organized at Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium. After the party wrapped up, West reportedly took a temporary residence at the stadium and converted one of the locker rooms into a studio. He used the opportunity to put the finishing touches on the record and finish the mixing with producer Mike Dean.

“I had a pretty interesting guest shortly after we moved [to Charleston],” McBride told the late night host.

“One day I got a phone call out of nowhere and the voice sounded familiar, but I wasn’t sure who it was. I was like, ‘Hello?’ and he was like, ‘Hey, is Danny there?’ He was like, ‘This is Kanye West.’ I thought it was a joke. He basically said that he was a fan of mine and wanted to come hang out.”

During their encounter on a boat, Kanye broached the idea.

Psalm West was born earlier this month, on May 9th. His mom announced his arrival into the world on Twitter with the message: “He’s here and he’s perfect!” The baby was born at a healthy 6 pounds and 9 ounces.

Kardashian West gave the world the gift of knowing her son’s name on May 17th with a screenshot of a text exchange between her and dad Kanye West.

The rapper sent his wife a photo of Psalm sleeping in his crib with a text saying, “Beautiful Mother’s Day. With the arrival of our fourth child we are blessed beyond measure. We have everything we need.” Mom captioned the post with her child’s name, “Psalm West.”

The beauty mogul clearly has high expectations for her son already. The trademark would protect Psalm West’s theoretical future business endeavors. That includes calendars, magazines, books, hair accessories, clothes, strollers, diaper bags, and swaddling blankets — in case he decides to start his own company sooner rather than later.
