Ever thought about who would play you in a film about your life?
Kanye West has, and the answer might surprise you.
It so happens that the “Gold Digger” rapper has his eye on Danny McBride for the role of Yeezy.
The Righteous Gemstones actor revealed as much whilst sitting down with Jimmy Kimmel.
“I had a pretty interesting guest shortly after we moved [to Charleston],” McBride told the late night host.
“One day I got a phone call out of nowhere and the voice sounded familiar, but I wasn’t sure who it was. I was like, ‘Hello?’ and he was like, ‘Hey, is Danny there?’ He was like, ‘This is Kanye West.’ I thought it was a joke. He basically said that he was a fan of mine and wanted to come hang out.”
During their encounter on a boat, Kanye broached the idea.
“He wanted to do a movie about the story of his life and he wanted me to play him,” McBride said.
“Are you sure this happened?” Jimmy asked. “Because you’ve done drugs, right?”
If it came to fruition, we wonder who would play Kim!
