“The being formally known as Kanye West. I am Ye,” the 41-year-old wrote on Twitter ahead of his appearance on Saturday Night Live.
“Ye” has been a longtime nickname for Kanye and is, of course, the name of his eighth and most recent studio album.
He has previously said that he found a spiritual significance to “Ye” — the plural or formal version of the second-person pronoun in Middle English — as he so frequently read it in the Bible.
It’s definitely shorter to sign for autographs!
