Sex and the City is one of the shows that put HBO on the map during the 90s, and its revival could do the same for the streaming service HBO Max. Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis, and Cynthia Nixon are set to return to their respective roles in this exciting reboot, without Kim Cattrall.

The highly-anticipated revival will premiere under the title And Just Like That… and it will show Carrie Bradshaw, Charlotte York, and Miranda Hobbes trying to navigate the complicated reality of life and friendship in their 50s.

HBO Max’s head of original content Sarah Aubrey said the cabler is looking forward to seeing how the trio’s story evolved and promised that the new chapter will bring back the “honesty, poignancy, humor and the beloved city that has always defined them”.

And Just Like That… still doesn’t have an official release date, but it’s expected to start filming in New York in late spring. The 10-episode limited series will be executive produced by Parker, Davis, Nixon, and Michael Patrick King, who won an Emmy for his contributions to the original Sex and the City.

You best start setting aside $14.99 a month.

That is how much WarnerMedia’s new streaming service, HBO Max, will cost when it launches next year.

The announcement was made during the company’s Investor Day at Warner Bros. studios in Burbank, California, where it was also confirmed that the service will be free to AT&T subscribers who already subscribe to HBO.

Since its inception announcement, HBO Max has been stocking its streaming shelves with some of our favorite series like Friends, The Big Bang Theory, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, and The O.C, as well as an upcoming Gossip Girl spin-off.

There will also be a ton of original series created especially for the streamer, with 31 originals in its first year that will be increased to 50 in the second.

While the price of $15 is less than analysts had predicted, it is still more than Netflix and Amazon Prime which both cost $13 a month.

HBO Max will launch in May in the US and Latin America in 2021.

It’s time, once again, for Adventure Time!

The Cartoon Network series ended last year after 10 seasons, but is being revived by HBO Max.

The new streaming service has ordered 4 new hour-long specials featuring Jake, Finn, and their friends who explore the magical Land of Ooo.

“The enchanted world of Adventure Time has mesmerized viewers and critics alike as Finn and Jake right wrongs and battle evil,” said head of original content at HBO Max, Sarah Aubrey. “The addition of these specials to the HBO Max kids and family programming lineup is sure to make kids everywhere say ‘Slam-bam-in-a-can!’”

The specials have been entitled BMO, Obsidian, Wizard City, and Together Again.

BMO involves the lovable robot being the hero who comes to the rescue in a deadly space emergency. Marceline and Princess Bubblegum venture to the Glass Kingdom in Obsidian. Peppermint Butler has to prove his innocence in Wizard City; and Jake and Finn set out on the most important adventure of their lives in Together Again.

The first two specials will premiere in 2020, with the latter two at a later date.

Mary Shelley created one of the most classic novels, Frankenstein, and now a series about her is set to be created.

The Shelley Society will follow the authoress as a young woman, with new streaming service, HBO Max, having ordered a pilot.

Described as a Victorian-era version of The X-Files, the official logline states: “Young author Mary Shelley leads a band of Romantic outlaws — among them, her lovers Percy and the Lord Byron — against all manner of supernatural threats and monsters… including Shelley’s own iconic Creature.”

Shelley was famously married to poet Percy Bysshe Shelley whose work she edited.

A competent showrunner has been placed in charge of the potential series — Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa. Aguirre-Sacasa already has two renowned series on his hands: Riverdale and its spin-off Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.

In addition to showrunning, the Chief Creative Officer of Archie Comics has co-created The Shelley Society along with Riverdale writers Tessa Leigh Williams and James DeWille.

Seven years after we said goodbye to Serena van der Woodsen, Blair Waldorf, and Lonely Boy Dan Humphrey, the elite of New York City’s Upper East Side is set to become the focus of Gossip Girl’s blogs once again.

Warner Bros’ new streaming service, HBO Max, has announced that it will be creating a spin-off of the famous CW series, which starred Blake Lively, Leighton Meester, Penn Badgley, Chace Crawford, and Ed Westwick.

The original ran between 2007 to 2012 and was written by Joshua Safran, who also executive produced alongside Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage.

The trio will be involved in the spin-off, which will pick up eight years after the original website went dark with a new generation of NYC high schoolers coming under Gossip Girl’s surveillance.

The new version will consist of 10 hour-long episodes.

Last week, the news broke that the much-beloved NBC comedy would be navigating from its regular binge-watching home to another streaming service — HBO Max.

The title belongs to the new platform created by WarnerMedia, which will launch in the spring of 2020.

While Netflix previously outbid Warner to keep Monica, Chandler, Rachel, Ross, Phoebe, and Joey on its screens, Warner won this round by putting down $85 million a year.

With Friends set to appear on HBO Max for five years, that comes to a grand total of $425 million!

“We’re sorry to see Friends go to Warner’s steaming service at the beginning of 2020 (in the US),” Netflix tweeted after WarnerMedia’s announcement. “Thanks for the memories, gang.”

No one told us binge-watching was gonna be this way…
