HBO Max Confirms “Sex and the City” Revival

Kristin David, Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, and Kim Cattrall in "Sex and the City"

Sex and the City is one of the shows that put HBO on the map during the 90s, and its revival could do the same for the streaming service HBO Max. Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis, and Cynthia Nixon are set to return to their respective roles in this exciting reboot, without Kim Cattrall.

The highly-anticipated revival will premiere under the title And Just Like That… and it will show Carrie Bradshaw, Charlotte York, and Miranda Hobbes trying to navigate the complicated reality of life and friendship in their 50s.

HBO Max’s head of original content Sarah Aubrey said the cabler is looking forward to seeing how the trio’s story evolved and promised that the new chapter will bring back the “honesty, poignancy, humor and the beloved city that has always defined them”.

And Just Like That… still doesn’t have an official release date, but it’s expected to start filming in New York in late spring. The 10-episode limited series will be executive produced by Parker, Davis, Nixon, and Michael Patrick King, who won an Emmy for his contributions to the original Sex and the City.
