After a weekend packed with Wonder Woman news, here’s some more!

Last weekend brought with it the release of the first official trailer for Wonder Woman 1984, finally giving fans their first major look at the Patty Jenkins-directed sequel to the 2017 hit film.

There’s no doubt Wonder Woman 1984 is set to be one of the summer’s biggest releases, but according to Jenkins and the film’s star, Gal Gadot, the two already have a story for Wonder Woman 3 and are even considering a spinoff focusing on the Amazons.

Jenkins talked to press ahead of the film’s panel at Comic-Con Experience in São Paulo, Brazil on Sunday and teased, “We actually already know the whole story” to the Wonder Woman saga.

She continued: “It’s just a matter of, will we change our minds, and when [to make it]. I think what we don’t want to do is do it back to back. It’s been great doing these two movies back to back, but I think it’s important to give it a little rest in between. And I like doing other things in between. And Gal has other things to do. I never want to make decisions too far in advance. We have to see if we both feel like making the movie we think we want to make when the moment comes.”

Wonder Woman 1984 is expected to hit theaters on June 5, 2020.

The sequel to Wonder Woman may be set in 1984, but the Israeli actress’s most-recently announced project will take her to the ‘40s.

Gadot is scheduled to play Irene Sendler who saved thousands of Jewish children during the Holocaust.

The Polish woman worked in the Warsaw Ghetto where she managed to smuggle out children, provide them with false identities, and place them with families. She was arrested by the Germans in 1943 but refused to reveal any information about the children, despite being tortured. Her endeavors led to her being recognized as Righteous Amongst the Nations.

The Warner Bros. production, entitled Irene Sendler, will also be produced by Gadot through the production company she has formed with her husband, Jaron Versano, called Pilot Wave.

Justine Juel Gillmer, whose credits include Harry Haft, is expected to pen the screenplay.

We have bad news and good news.

The bad news is that the team behind Wonder Woman is not heading to Comic-Con this year.

Stars Gal Gadot and Chris Pine, as well as director Patty Jenkins, made an appearance at the San Diego event last year, where they teased the franchise’s upcoming sequel, Wonder Woman 1984.

The good news, however, is that we have been given a new poster for that very film!

“By now you’ve heard: WB isn’t going to Hall H this year,” Jenkins tweeted. “We’re so sad to miss you there! And waiting until Dec. to start our official #WW84 campaign in full – But the truth is… we can just… barely… wait…”

The technicolour offering features the Themysciran princess in all-new armor, which fans have pinpointed as Wonder Woman’s Golden Eagle armor from the comics.

Even more good news — it is now less than a year to go untilWonder Women 1984 hits screens on June 5th 2020.

We’re going back to the past… but we’ll have to wait a little longer in the future.

All those hoping to see Wonder Woman return in 2019 will, unfortunately, have to hold on a bit longer. The sequel to the 2017 film, directed by Patty Jenkins, was filmed in the summer and stars Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Kristen Wiig, and Pedro Pascal.

Set in 1984, the blockbuster was originally set for release December 13th 2019. Wonder Woman herself, Gal Gadot, announced the new release date for Wonder Woman 1984 as June 5th 2020.

“We had tremendous success releasing the first Wonder Woman film during the summer so when we saw an opportunity to take advantage of the changing competitive landscape, we did,” Warner Bros. said in a statement to Entertainment Weekly. “This move lands the film exactly where it belongs.”

We’re getting our lassos ready.

The next generation of Hollywood stars are hatching.

Despite being some of the industry’s most successful and respected actresses, Nicole Kidman, Viola Davis, and Gal Gadot might be out of jobs soon, thanks to their very own offspring.

The trio’s children are making their big screen debuts in the upcoming sequel to Angry Birds.

Angry Birds 2 sees the ruler of the Bad Piggies plot revenge against the Angry Birds, who form an alliance with the Pigs against a bird named Zeta.

11-year-old Sunday Rose and 8-year-old Faith Margaret Urban, who are the daughters of Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban, will be providing the voices of hatchlings Lily and Beatrice.

They will be joined by the daughter of How to Get Away with Murder star Viola Davis, Genesis Tennon, who is 9, as well as Gal Gadot’s 7-year-old little girl, Alma Varsano.

“Looks like I’m out of the job… so proud of my little Hatchling Alma and all her hard work on Angry Birds 2,” wrote the proud Wonder Woman mom on Instagram.

Angry Birds 2 is out on August 14th.
