]]>The 2002 zombie horror flick from Danny Boyle proved to not only be a hit with audiences, but also received praise from critics.
28 Days Later sees a young man awaking from a coma to find that a virus has turned everyone into zombies. We think we’d want to go back to bed…
Following its success, a sequel entitled 28 Weeks Later, which was set weeks later and did not include the original cast, was released in 2007, but sadly did not garner the same response.
Twelve years later, however, Boyle has revealed that he and screenwriter Alex Garland may have something up their sleeves…
“Alex Garland and I have a wonderful idea for the third part,” the Yesterday director told The Independent. “It’s properly good.”
Boyle continued, “The original film led to a bit of a resurgence in the zombie drama and it doesn’t reference any of that. It doesn’t feel stale at all. [Garland’s] concentrating on directing his own work at the moment, so it’s stood in abeyance really, but it’s a you-never-know.”
Better late than never!

]]>The Twilight actor was recently announced as the new Dark Knight of Gotham City, taking over Ben Affleck in the role of Batman.
He is scheduled to star in a trilogy reboot helmed by Matt Reeves.
But now another director thinks there is a part that the 33-year-old actor would be perfect for.
Danny Boyle was originally selected as the director of the upcoming Bond 25, until he pulled out of the production due to creative differences.
With the film set to be the last starring Daniel Craig as James Bond, Boyle believes Pattinson is the right man to take over as the suave spy.
“And it was so bizarre, because I was sitting there thinking: ‘Oh my God, they should get him to be the next Bond,’” Boyle told The Guardian about watching Pattinson in High Life. “He must be in his 30s. How old was Connery? He’s ready now.”
Wayne. Bruce Wayne?

]]>The state of the film was plunged into jeopardy last month when director Danny Boyle announced that he was leaving the project.
While exact reasons around his exit remain under unclear, the official reason was cited by producer Barbara Broccoli and co as “creative differences”.
The Oscar winner’s exit also meant that the script which he wrote with a collaborator, John Hodge, went with him.
In a bid to save the film (and perhaps still meet its scheduled released date of November 8th 2019), producers have now hired longtime writers for the series, Neal Purvis and Robert Wade.
Purvis and Wade have worked on every single Bond film since The World is Not Enough in 1999, making their selection to produce a new script a no-brainer.
Bond 25 — which will be the last to star Daniel Craig — is now expected sometime in 2020.

]]>According to Deadline, the musician could be involved in the new comedy/musical from director Danny Boyle.
Although not much as been revealed about the project as yet, it is believed to be set in a universe where The Beatles never existed (Help!) and has tentatively been titled All You Need is Love.
The release date has also been announced as September 13th, 2019.
The Oscar-winning director will be at the helm, while Love, Actually screenwriter Richard Curtis will pen the script. Cinderella actress Lily James, Himesh Patel of Eastenders, and Kate McKinnon from Saturday Night Live are expected to star.
Ed is known as a huge fan of the Fab Four and is said to be making an onscreen cameo in the film (check out Game of Thrones or Bridget Jones’ Baby if you want proof of his acting skills), as well as contribute to the film’s soundtrack.
Sounds like just another “Day in the Life” for the “Shape of You” singer.
