Bruce Springsteen will be singing for those who have proved themselves to be tougher than the rest.

Each year, a fundraiser is held for army veterans who were wounded in overseas conflicts.

The Stand Up for Heroes event was first held as an initiative of ABC News correspondent Bob Woodruff, who was inspired by his own journey.

While embedded with US troops in Iraq during 2006, he was seriously injured by an improvised explosive device (IED) and had to undergo brain surgery, a 36-day coma, and extensive physical therapy.

“Even after 13 years of Stand Up for Heroes, the event continues to inspire our audience and our nation,” Woodruff said in a statement. “We can’t forget that these brave individuals stand up to serve in our military, and we need to show our support by standing up for them in return.”

The line-up for this year’s show will include Bruce Springsteen, Jon Stewart, John Oliver, Ronny Chieng, and Hasan Minhaj.

The 13th annual Stand Up For Heroes veterans fundraiser will take place on November 4th at the Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden.

Surprising fans, rock legend Bruce Springsteen has just released a new album.

Bridge School is a live album that includes 10 tracks recorded during his 1986 acoustic show at Neil Young’s Bridge School Benefit Concert at the Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View, California.

The new album includes an acappella cover to “You Can Look (But You Better Not Touch)” and an acoustic version of “Born in the USA” with Young, as well as Springsteen’s bandmates David Crosby, Graham Nash, and Stephen Stills supplying the harmonies and instrumental accompaniment.

The audio is mostly taken from the original soundboard recording of the show. Some sections were missing from the master tapes and were replaced by alternate and fan recordings.

You can purchase the new album on CD and digitally, and the artist is donating 2 dollars from each purchase to the Bridge School.

Last year Springsteen released an official recording of his infamous performance at the Roxy Theatre in Los Angeles in 1978, a show during which he jumped from a 10-ft.-high balcony onto a piano.

Bruce Springsteen is going back on the thunder road.

The “Born in the U.S.A” singer may have a career that spans 55 years, but he is showing no signs of slowing down.

The 69-year-old rocker has sold more than 135 million records around the world, and he will soon have another to put on sale.

On June 14th, Springsteen will release his newest LP Western Stars, with two singles from the album, “Hello Sunshine” and “There Goes My Miracle,” already out.

“The album is made up of a lot of small stories that take place in the West of the United States,” the musician told Italy’s La Repubblica newspaper.

He also revealed to the publication that he is working on new stuff with his E Street Band.

“We will go on tour next year,” he said. “I’ll record with the E Street Band in autumn and, when we are done, we’ll go on tour.”

The last time the group recorded an album was in 2014, and they last played together in 2017.

We can’t wait to dance in the dark!

Bruce Springsteen is coming to Netflix.

The streaming giant announced that while Springsteen on Broadway is closing at the end of the year, fans will be able to get some Springsteen on the streaming platform.

The sold-out Broadway show is coming to Netflix with a special of the same name, the day the music icon will take to the stage for the last time after 236 sold-out shows at the Jujamcyn’s Walter Kerr Theatre.

“We are thrilled to bring Bruce Springsteen — a master storyteller, humanitarian and voice of the everyman — to Netflix in this historic one-man show,” said Netflix chief content officer Ted Sarandos.” This groundbreaking experience defies the boundaries of theater, concerts, and film and will give our global audience an intimate look at one of the biggest cultural icons of our time.”

“The purpose of the film is to bring this incredibly intimate show to Bruce’s entire audience intact and complete,” said Springsteen manager Jon Landau. “In addition to its many other virtues, Netflix has provided for a simultaneous worldwide release which is particularly important for our massive international audience. Ted Sarandos and the entire company’s support has been a perfect match for Bruce’s personal commitment to the filmed version of ‘Springsteen on Broadway.’ “

The two-hour show featured Springsteen performing and spinning yarns from his 2016 biography Born to Run.

Bruce Springsteen discussed his potential run for office in the future and explained why he won’t write any more anti-Donald Trump songs.

In his recent interview for Variety, Springsteen answered the question if he was tempted to run for governor of New Jersey. “Pssht, nooo,” he replied. “I would have no business in politics. I’m just not interested in policy-making enough. I know people in entertainment who are interested in those things, but I’m a musician.

Regarding the anti-Trump song he released earlier this year, That’s What Makes Us Great, Springsteen said: “I’m not driven to write any anti-Trump diatribe; that doesn’t feel necessary at the moment. It feels a little redundant to me.”

“I’m ambivalent about… sort of getting on a soapbox. I still believe people fundamentally come to music to be entertained — yes, to address their daily concerns, and yes, also to address political topics, I believe music can do that well. But I still believe fundamentally it’s an affair of the heart. People want you to go deeper than politics, they want you to reach inside to their most personal selves and their deepest struggles with their daily lives and reach that place; that’s the place I’m always trying to reach. I’d never make a record that’s just polemical, I wouldn’t release it if I did. To me, that’s just an abuse of your audience’s good graces.”
