James Bond’s next mission finally has a title!

The official Bond Twitter account has now confirmed that the forthcoming installment will be titled No Time to Die.

Production on Bond 25, as it has been called until now, has not been smooth-sailing in the slightest.

Speculation abounded that Daniel Craig, who has played Bond for the last four films, would not return to the role.

Danny Boyle had signed on as director, but left the project soon after production began, citing creative differences. His departure meant that screenwriter John Hodge, who was adapting an idea by Boyle, also left.

The director’s position was filled by Cary Joji Fukunaga, while veteran Bond screenwriters Neal Purvis and Robert Wade penned the script. Phoebe Waller-Bridge has been brought on to liven up the screenplay.

Following that, production had to be paused more than once when Craig injured his ankle and then when an explosion occurred on set, causing minor injuries to a crew member.

Rami Malek, Christoph Waltz, Naomi Scott, Ralph Fiennes, Ben Winshaw, and Jeffrey Wright also form part of the cast.

No Time to Die opens in the UK on April 3rd, 2020, and in the US the following week on April 8th.

Ed Sheeran could be following in the musical footsteps of Shirley Bassey, Paul McCartney, and Adele.

The “Castle on the Hill” singer is reportedly being considered to write the theme song for the upcoming James Bond film.

The previous two Bond movies, Skyfall and Spectre, have seen Adele and Sam Smith both win Academy Awards for Best Original Song.

Daniel Craig, who will be making his final outing as 007, was reportedly introduced to Sheeran’s music by his daughter, Ella, and became a fan.

Craig’s love of the Suffolk singer has put him in consideration to pen and perform the theme song for the forthcoming feature, which has so far been titled Bond 25.

It is believed, however, that producers may prefer to go with a tried and tested favorite by bringing back Adele, whose track “Skyfall” picked up the Oscar for Best Original Song in 2013.

Rami Malek will not be the only villain in the upcoming Bond film.

Bond 25, which is currently in the midst of shooting, will see the recent Oscar winner star as a yet-to-be-named enemy of Daniel Craig’s 007.

This is set to be Craig’s final venture in the role, and he will be reunited with a former co-star.

Christoph Waltz has signed on to return as Blofeld, with whom Bond previously came to blows in the last film in the franchise, Spectre.

The character of Blofeld has long been part of Bond lore, having previously been embodied by actors Donald Pleasance, Max von Sydow, and Telly Savalas.

Waltz will not be the only familiar face to return for Bond 25 as Ralph Fiennes, Lea Seydoux, Naomie Harris, Ben Winshaw, and Jeffrey Wright will all reprise the roles they’ve played in previous installments.

Bond 25 is expected to hit theatres on April 8th, 2020.

There is a man down on the set of Bond 25.

As if the production hasn’t been through enough troubles, the leading actor has now suffered an injury, causing filming to be suspended.

The as-yet-untitled film will be Daniel Craig’s last as the MI6 agent, having played the role since Casino Royale in 2006.

The actor was reportedly sprinting on the set in Jamaica last week and fell awkwardly, believing to have wounded his ankle. He was then flown to the US where X-rays were taken.

The incident led to shooting being suspended on the project, which has already been heavily delayed due to Danny Boyle bowing out as director.

The Trainspotting filmmaker cited creative differences as the reason for his decision, and was eventually replaced by Cary Jo Fukunaga.

Neal Purvis, Robert Wade, Scott Z. Burns, and Phoebe Waller-Bridge are penning the script.

Rami Malek, Jeffrey Wright, Lea Seydoux, Billy Magnussen, Ben Winshaw, Naomi Harris, and Ralph Fiennes will form part of the cast for the feature, which is scheduled for release on April 8th, 2020.

James Bond’s next mission has finally been revealed.

The 25th installment in the secret agent franchise has not been without its own drama, but you would hardly notice as producers of the upcoming film unveiled what is in store for 007.

A promotional video, filmed at the Goldeneye estate of Bond creator Ian Fleming, gave us a taste of what we can expect for Bond 25 (which still does not have an official title).

“We’ve got quite a ride in store for Mr. Bond,” promised producer Barbara Broccoli.

According to the plot longline, “[Bond’s] peace is short-lived when his old friend Felix Leiter from the CIA turns up asking for help. The mission to rescue a kidnapped scientist turns out to be far more treacherous than expected, leading Bond onto the trail of a mysterious villain armed with dangerous new technology.”

That villain will be played by Bohemian Rhapsody star Rami Malek, who stated: “I will be making sure that Mr. Bond does not have an easy ride of it in this, his 25th outing.”

The cast will also include returning actors Lea Seydoux (Dr. Madeleine Swann), Jeffrey Wright (Felix Leiter), Ben Whishaw (Q), Rory Kinnear (Tanner), and Ralph Fiennes (M). Billy Magnussen, Lashana Lynch, David Dencik, Ana De Armas, and Dali Benssalah will star, as well. Cary Joji Fukunaga will be directing.

Daniel Craig returns as the martini-favoring spy on the 8th of April, 2020.

Like the world by 007, Bond 25 has now been saved.

The state of the film was plunged into jeopardy last month when director Danny Boyle announced that he was leaving the project.

While exact reasons around his exit remain under unclear, the official reason was cited by producer Barbara Broccoli and co as “creative differences”.

The Oscar winner’s exit also meant that the script which he wrote with a collaborator, John Hodge, went with him.

In a bid to save the film (and perhaps still meet its scheduled released date of November 8th 2019), producers have now hired longtime writers for the series, Neal Purvis and Robert Wade.

Purvis and Wade have worked on every single Bond film since The World is Not Enough in 1999, making their selection to produce a new script a no-brainer.

Bond 25 — which will be the last to star Daniel Craig — is now expected sometime in 2020.
